Primary Responsibilities:
? Responsible for various activities related to the filling of prescriptions in mail order environment or the placement of outbound calls related to prescriptions with hold orders.
? Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
? Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
? May perform any or all of the following duties:
? Answers inbound routine telephone call inquires
? Assists with orders and reorders, benefit eligibility questions, and prescription status inquires.
? Escalates drug related calls to appropriate pharmacist.
? Makes outbound routine telephone call inquires and/or faxes to both patients and doctor's offices; assists with prescriptions with hold orders and payments issues.
? Escalates calls to pharmacist as appropriate.
? Assist with semi routine prescription processing such as; data entry, dispensing, identifying method of payment, order verification, stock inventory, purchasing, trouble shooting, counts and packages meds and affixs labels to prescriptions.
? Counsels patients regarding nondiscretionary information, benefits, use of plan, co pays, status of orders, and semi routine claim or inquire questions.
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
? Pharmacy/Tech License preferred
? PTCB Certification preferred
? 18 months of college preferred
